Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a nursing, residential or supported living service, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with daily activities, maintaining their dignity and independence while fostering a positive environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities

    • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Support clients in daily living activities including meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
    • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
    • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising staff.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
    • Support clients to appointments or social activities as required.
    • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the home or care setting.
    • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance caregiving skills.


Qualifications

    • Previous experience minimum of 6 months experience in a care home setting
    • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
    • Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
    • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
    • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
