North Central London Cancer Alliance (NCLCA) is seeking a Cancer Data Analyst to join our expanding team dedicated to improving cancer outcomes in North Central London.

NCLCA is a collaboration involving NHS and other organizations, hosted by University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Our mission is to promote early diagnosis, optimize pathways, reduce variation, provide personalized patient support, and enhance service resilience. Patients and carers are central to our efforts.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Alliance's ambitious strategy, in partnership with the NCL Integrated Care System. We collaborate with multiple NHS providers across primary and secondary care, as well as local authorities in Camden, Islington, Haringey, Barnet, and Enfield.

The role involves delivering data products and analyses to support NCLCA, utilizing modern business intelligence tools, automating data pipelines, and creating high-quality visualizations. Key responsibilities include simplifying data access, translating complex data for diverse stakeholders, building relationships, representing NCLCA nationally, and strengthening partnerships with NCL ICB.

Main duties of the job

  • Utilize SQL and Python to extract and manipulate cancer-related data from various databases.
  • Develop and maintain interactive, visually compelling reports using Power BI.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide data-driven insights.
  • Lead BAU reporting activities.
  • Interpret and apply regular reporting and ad-hoc analyses correctly with stakeholders.
  • Develop knowledge across the full NCLCA portfolio of programmes and work flexibly within it.
