ABOUT THE BUSINESS

This purpose-led brand and social impact agency has over 20 years’ experience delivering insight-driven campaigns that connect organisations with young people. A core part of the business focuses on deep engagement with the UK and Ireland education systems, partnering with schools and delivering education-focused initiatives at scale.

The agency operates with a strong emphasis on data quality, accuracy, and insight-led storytelling. Data plays a central role in shaping campaigns, forecasts, and strategic decisions, making this a business-critical hire.

THE TEAM

You’ll join a small, close-knit data team operating as a central triage point for the wider agency. The team supports a broad range of data-driven questions, from campaign performance and forecasting to CRM insight and client reporting.

The environment is collaborative, autonomous, and fast-paced. Chemistry and cultural fit are essential, with individuals trusted to own their work, manage stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight.

THE ROLE

This is a varied, agency-style Data Analyst position combining hands-on analysis, forecasting, CRM insight, and increasing client-facing engagement over time. The role is a replacement hire, with a strong dependency on handover, and will be critical to maintaining continuity across campaigns and products.

You’ll be expected to take ownership of incoming data requests, confidently explain methodology, and ensure all outputs are accurate, robust, and commercially meaningful.

Key responsibilities include:

Analysis & Insight

  • Act as a triage point for incoming data questions and analysis requests.
  • Analyse client-provided datasets in multiple formats, often Excel-heavy.
  • Translate complex data into clear, insight-led narratives for internal and external stakeholders.

Forecasting & Modelling

  • Support campaign forecasting and modelling, including predicting registrations and outcomes.
  • Advise on channels, timelines, and expected performance based on data-led assumptions.
  • Contribute to the development of longer-term forecasting capability.

Data Quality & Methodology

  • Ensure high standards of data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all outputs.
  • Confidently answer questions on methodology and analytical approach, particularly for high-impact work.
  • Take accountability for outputs that directly influence campaign outcomes and business forecasts.

Systems & Reporting

  • Work with a relational database supporting an education-focused partnership product.
  • Use SQL-driven analysis to feed into Power BI dashboards and reporting.
  • Select appropriate tools and techniques depending on data structure and campaign needs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience in a data analyst role.

  • Strong preference for agency or marketing-led backgrounds.
  • Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, charts, visualisation).
  • SQL (joins, selects, data manipulation).
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Power BI for reporting and visualisation.
  • Experience with CRM data, segmentation, or campaign selection.

WHY APPLY?

  • Join a purpose-driven agency where data directly influences real-world outcomes.
  • Take ownership in a business-critical role with high visibility and impact.
  • Work across a broad range of analysis, forecasting, and client-facing projects.
  • Be part of a collaborative, agile data team that values quality, autonomy, and insight-led thinking.

Neurodiversity in Data Science Careers: Turning Different Thinking into a Superpower

Data science is all about turning messy, real-world information into decisions, products & insights. It sits at the crossroads of maths, coding, business & communication – which means it needs people who see patterns, ask unusual questions & challenge assumptions. That makes data science a natural fit for many neurodivergent people, including those with ADHD, autism & dyslexia. If you’re neurodivergent & thinking about a data science career, you might have heard comments like “you’re too distracted for complex analysis”, “too literal for stakeholder work” or “too disorganised for large projects”. In reality, the same traits that can make traditional environments difficult often line up beautifully with data science work. This guide is written for data science job seekers in the UK. We’ll explore: What neurodiversity means in a data science context How ADHD, autism & dyslexia strengths map to common data science roles Practical workplace adjustments you can request under UK law How to talk about your neurodivergence in applications & interviews By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of where you might thrive in data science – & how to turn “different thinking” into a real career advantage.

Why Data Science Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Data science once meant advanced statistics, machine learning models and coding in Python or R. In the UK today, it has become one of the most in-demand professions across sectors — from healthcare to finance, retail to government. But as the field matures, employers now expect more than technical modelling skills. Modern data science is multidisciplinary. It requires not just coding and algorithms, but also legal knowledge, ethical reasoning, psychological insight, linguistic clarity and human-centred design. Data scientists are expected to interpret, communicate and apply data responsibly, with awareness of law, human behaviour and accessibility. In this article, we’ll explore why data science careers in the UK are becoming more multidisciplinary, how these five disciplines intersect with data science, and what job-seekers & employers need to know to succeed in this transformed field.
