***9-Month Fixed-term Contract ***


Data & Functions Technology Delivery exists to provide a broad range of data products to colleagues across the Society.


You will join a community of analytical practitioners whose collective role is to enhance value through data and helping colleagues across the Society to unlock value by utilising your expert capability and skills. From a task perspective, you will be working in one of our Insight and Analytics teams, focussing on delivering shared outcomes that you have contributed to, bringing your insight development skills as part of a multi-skilled team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be focussed on solution design and delivery, ensuring our business stakeholders’ needs are met and bringing your knowledge and experience to exceed those expectations. Working as part of a team, you’ll be the first point of contact for providing support and guidance to other team members or colleagues who are learning about the value of using data visualisation to generate insights across the Society.


Being part of the BI team, you will be expected to learn and apply skills outside of your core discipline of BI development, getting involved in business analysis, engineering of data and visualising data, in order to achieve shared outcomes.


About you

We're looking for candidates that have experience in Business Intelligence development. As a minimum requirement you’ll:

  • Have experience reading and writing code using SQL
  • Experience in developing solutions using as Power BI or QlikSense or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced reporting role working to tight deadlines and developing high quality guided insight dashboards
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data findings into insightful and actionable dashboards
  • Influential, personally resilient, with exceptional written and verbal communication whilst being able to build and maintain good relationships across all levels
