Behind every Amazon delivery is a complex network of planning and execution. As part of the European Global Fleet and Products (GFP) - Fleet Planning and Capacity team (FPAC), you'll help optimize this journey

We work with large amounts of novel data and provide insights that help deliver billions of packages to customers every year. We focus on everything from high-level to granular data and insight generation, primarily supporting the Fleet planning teams automation and operational excellence projects / data asset development.

The GFP Fleet planning and Capacity team is looking for a customer obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to shape how we use data to develop high efficiency Fleet planning tools, in the Last Mile space. As a BIE on the FPAC team, you will develop and lead new technical solutions that supports critical process improvement automations.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be a diligent time/project manager, strong communicator, and problem solver extraordinaire. You'll work on large, complex initiatives with a high degree of ambiguity, and you'll also advocate on behalf of customers. Great candidates will use data and analytic engineering to drive changes across multiple organizations.

This role is located out of Luxembourg.

In this position you will:
- Engineer critical input and output metrics
- Create performance metrics to measure operational performance, identify root causes and trends, and prescribe action plans for delivery stations around the globe
- Manage metrics across multiple projects simultaneously
- Work with product, technology, and analytics teams to support the development of tools and dashboards
- Communicate with and support various internal stakeholders and external audiences
- Learn, explore, apply, and gain expertise in many internal Amazon data and public AWS products including Glue, Redshift, Quicksight, and Lambda

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in the data/BI space

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
