Job - Business Intelligence Development Manager ( Power BI )

Salary - £50k per annum


Holiday - 30 days plus bank holidays.


Location - Ware Campus - Monday to Friday.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence & Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality reporting and dashboard solutions that support data-driven decision making across the organisation. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will transform complex data into meaningful insights and ensure robust, compliant BI solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver Power BI reporting and dashboard solutions, including data gathering, modelling, visualisation, and user testing
  • Create and manage data transformations and dataflows, using both standard and advanced techniques
  • Apply a range of tools and technologies such as SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory, PowerShell, Python, M scripting, QlikView, Tableau, and others as required
  • Ensure all reporting solutions comply with data governance policies, standards, and best practices
  • Take ownership of troubleshooting data-related issues and maintain the Power BI infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Support business-wide reporting requirements by working closely with key stakeholders
  • Monitor performance trends and provide analysis and recommendations to support continuous improvement and strategic decision-making
  • Manage the publishing, scheduling, and administration of datasets and reports within the Power BI Service
  • Conduct data quality audits to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of all reporting outputs

About You

You will bring:


BI or Data Analytics certifications, or equivalent experience


Proven experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, and visualisation


Strong SQL skills and experience with data cleansing and modelling


Experience working with Azure / Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, Data Lake, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS)


Familiarity with DevOps and Agile delivery methods (Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Scrum/Kanban)


Experience with other BI tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or similar


Understanding of testing, quality assurance, and production release processes
