Become a key member of Hallmark UK Data & Analytics centre of excellence as our new BI and Reporting Analyst. We are transforming our analytics capabilities and you will play a vital role in this by contributing to our analytical reporting and supporting the development of Tableau to bring value to the business at pace. About the role

A permanent role – key to our strategy of Data & Analytics transformation – supporting better decision making across the business with timely, insightful and compelling reporting, and reducing the time taken to get to answers

Supporting the BI and Analytics Manager in equipping decision makers across the business with joined up data and using Commercial reporting experience to drive positive change

Communicating the metrics that matter – responsible for developing and maintaining our ‘single view of the truth’ in terms of reporting across the business and fulfilling requests for new views/reports from internal and external customers

Your Responsibilities

Building new reports and dashboards using Tableau or, where necessary, in other tools such as Excel
Regular BI and performance reporting as required by the Exec, Senior Leadership Group, Commercial teams and other key decision makers across the business
Creating and testing new data sources and responding to queries relating to the reports that are produced (e.g. requests for further information)
Monitoring trends and exceptions across the suite of management information and highlighting these to the relevant decision makers (unprompted insight)
You will become an expert user of Tableau along with supporting tools Alteryx & SQL and will support the BI and Analytics Manager in training users around the business to get the most value from the tool
Be a champion for Data Governance within the business
You will support and provide holiday cover for the BI and Analytics Manager

To be successful you will need:

Essential - Experience in a reporting or analytical role (either in a dedicated Data Analytics team or in a Commercial or Merchandising team – gleaning insights and building performance reports from high volume datasets)
Essential – User experience of a BI tool (ideally Tableau, although others are relevant e.g. PowerBI etc.)
Essential – High level Excel skills, including manipulating large volumes of data and presenting compelling insights
Highly desirable – Data storytelling skills – the ability to build user friendly dashboards and reports that communicate data stories
Essential - Adaptability and a willingness to develop flexible solutions to provide answers for the business at speed
Highly desirable – Curiosity and a desire to leverage data to solve business problems
Essential – The ability to work as a team; helping your colleagues and bringing enthusiasm to the role
Highly desirable – A strong willingness to learn new skills and develop your BI and reporting skills and to teach others
