Business Intelligence Analyst - Graduate

Fixed Term Full Time position (24-month contract)

Malvern office location & WFH

About the role

The Business Intelligence Analyst (Graduate) is an essential part of the Analytics team developing standardised dashboards, ad-hoc reports and in-depth analysis guided by the senior staff members in the analytics team.

The role is required to develop automated, sustainable and governed data models, which are used as feeders for dashboards and reports. The data models also serve the wider team of analysts as detailed data sets for analysis purposes to provide stakeholders with more thorough analysis as required.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop internal expertise on reporting applications specifically PowerBI

Ensuring the timely production of accurate reports that are useful and intuitive for users

Manage the report generation process including:

Prioritisation of work requests for new reports

Tracking and reporting progress in report development

Monitoring the timely production of routine reports

Rationalisation of new and existing reports to reduce duplication and eliminate redundancy

Ensuring reports are based on valid data from the various data sources

Providing feedback to senior staff members on data issues to enable collaborative remedial action

Engaging with users of reports to ensure each report is fit for purpose in regards to: content, presentation, utility and comprehension

Ensuring Cabrini has access to the most appropriate reporting applications for the generation and maintenance of clinical and operational reports.

About you

Although industry experience is not a requirement, experience in a health context would be advantageous. You will also require the following:

Post Graduate qualifications in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence or related discipline

Proven experience handling complex datasets

Strong skills in data analytics

Ability to collaborate effectively with professionals and management to design insightful reports and dashboards

Experience conducing business analysis within complex organisational settings

Understanding of data warehouse architecture, maintenance and operations

Familiarity with data sourcing methods and data structures

Proficiency with data reporting practices and standards

Exposure to reporting applications such as PowerBI, Qlik
