Data & Reporting Lead

A long-established, privately owned business is investing in its data capabilities and looking for a hands-on Data & Reporting Lead to shape and deliver reporting across commercial and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver dashboards using Power BI, providing clear and actionable insights.
  • Build and optimise SQL-based reports and processes, including development in SSRS.
  • Support and improve ETL workflows and maintain structured data feeds into the warehouse.
  • Work with stakeholders who use Analysis Services Cubes - understanding how the cubes function and how best to report from them.
  • Engage with teams to gather reporting requirements and support wider data initiatives.
  • Contribute to improvements in data quality, consistency, and performance.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with Power BI (including DAX).
  • Confident writing and optimising SQL queries for reporting and transformation.
  • Experience supporting or building ETL pipelines (e.g. SSIS or similar tools).
  • Good understanding of how OLAP/Analysis Cubes work and how they're used in reporting.
  • Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bonus: Exposure to Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems.
