WRK digital are delighted to partner with Greencore, a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK. Greencore supplies all the major supermarkets in the UK as well as travel retail outlets, discounters, coffee shops, foodservice providers, and other retailers. Employing over 14,000 people, they operate 21 world-class manufacturing units across 16 locations in the UK, with industry-leading technology and supply chain capabilities.

They are entering an exciting period of an IT transformation programme that will streamline and simplify core processes, provide easier access to quality business data, and enable investment in the right technology.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for individuals that have a good understanding and experience of relational databases (SQL Server/T-SQL), schemas, and relationships across multiple data sources. You will have experience of developing ETL solutions and have a good understanding of OLTP best practices. You will have proven knowledge and experience of data modelling and database design.

The successful candidate will have experience of ERP systems, especially (PowerApps). You will have worked with cloud-based solutions, especially (MS Azure). Any experience of MS Synapse or data lake experience would be highly beneficial to your application. You will be familiar with Power App development and integration development, for example working with queues or APIs.

Role Purpose:

As a BI Developer with Greencore, you will be designing and developing data flows and integrations between systems and databases for the group, as well as contributing to other areas of their business landscape.

In addition to reporting, the team is responsible for several areas of data engineering and database development, including integrations development with our ERP systems, providing end-to-end solutions with web apps, and general database administration.

What you’ll be doing in your role as a BI Developer:

  • Designing and developing database integrations between systems and contributing to the building of Data Warehouses for reporting purposes (e.g., developing ETL pipelines).
  • Database development in collaboration with the development team, collaborating with BAs and internal stakeholders to manage demand and a backlog of data requirements.
  • Leveraging best practices to contribute to our wider goal of consolidating data sources and improving maintainability of our reporting landscape.
  • Working with the business you will identify reporting gaps to improve efficiencies.
  • Supporting their existing data and reporting solutions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with communication at all levels.
