Our client is seeking a AWS Data Engineer to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is expected to last 12 months, with potential for additional extensions. This position is 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong SQL/PLSQL skills, particularly with MS SQL and Oracle databases.
  • Extensive experience coding in Python.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline design.
  • Familiar with data lakes and their architecture.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow (MWAA) for workflow management.
  • Experience with AWS Athena/PySpark (Glue) for data querying and processing.
  • Proficient in SQL with experience in both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure without being distracted by complexity.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Passion for data quality and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data engineering.
