Responsibilities:

As part of Settlements & Transactions, ownership of data products is a required role for the strategic data end-state where the Mesh is one of the main sources of foundational quality data.

Settlements & Transactions Data Product Owner working closely with DNI Platform tech lead and DNI Data Architect to create Data Products and ensure their on-going maintenance. Ensure the creation and maintenance of information / data models for Data Products as required for the Settlements & Transactions. Ensuring we have documented Data Quality requirements for both producers and consumers of Data Products required for the Domain Day-to-day supervision of Business side of the new DNI Data Platform, ensuring data quality checks are in place and completed, data issues are logged and actioned appropriately, supervision of implementation of new data products. Work closely with Settlements & Transactions Data Steward (Chicago) on legacy process issues uncovered for different data products. Data cataloging and lineage in Collibra of CDEs required for Data Products Working with Data Architect, Business Architect and Mesh enablement to ensure that the required data is gathered in the appropriate priority and is appropriate for the final data product.

Requirements:

Senior data steward / BA experience with complex data environments where quite a lot of investigation and analysis is constantly required. Ability to handle running into roadblocks and moving around them. Data Steward Financial Services experience in Settlements and Corporate Actions Familiarity with Mesh concepts and Azure cloud computing. Familiarity with Delta Lakes, medallion (aka Raw, Base, Consume) architecture Excellent SQL and other languages may be necessary Experience with Collibra Experience with Agile Ability to work to priority list and tight schedules Ability to propose solutions to both business and IT Good interpersonal skills with the business.

11. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to help improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity

13. Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication

Knowledge :Strong understanding and capable of effectively communicating the role of Data Governance to both business and technical communities within the sphere of data domain; possess broad knowledge of the domain data

Understand key business drivers of those functions which enter, modify, manage, and consume the data within domain

Understand all aspects of defining and implementing data quality management

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Possess proven facilitation and conflict resolution skills

Possess exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities

Experience :Strong understanding and capable of effectively communicating the role of Data Governance to both business and technical communities within the sphere of data domain; possess broad knowledge of the domain data

Understand key business drivers of those functions which enter, modify, manage, and consume the data within domain

Understand all aspects of defining and implementing data quality management

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
