As an Associate Data Analyst you will utilise internal and external data sources to support decision makers and the wider business by providing insight and analysis to support on-going business objectives.
Responsibilities
Analyse large volumes of insurance-related data using BigQuery to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Looker, MicroStrategy and Excel to provide actionable insights to key stakeholders. Work closely with business users to understand data requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions. Actively support business initiatives by matching user reporting requirements to relevant reporting tools and assist in the development of required reports. Act as an internal consultant using specialist knowledge, skills and experience to advise on the development and implementation of analyses, processes and initiatives to meet business needs. Conduct thorough data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various analytical initiatives.
Key skills
Comfortable in producing and interpreting numerical data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate findings clearly to a non-technical audience. A desire to approach problems in an imaginative way and probe available information to reveal new or unexpected insights. A keen desire to take on challenges, learn new skills and improve existing methods. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Accuracy/Attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. Stakeholder Management. Aptitude for reading and writing code.
