Your Role

As a Data Scientist, you're not just crunching numbers – you're influencing the educational landscape. Our work ranges from ensuring the entire business has the data they need to make data-driven decisions.

Some recent examples include:

  • Maximising payment authentication rates for seamless user experiences
  • Enhancing search engine logic through machine learning for an optimized search experience
  • Implementing collaborative-filtering approaches for personalized resource recommendations
  • Statistical modelling and forecasting to meet user needs effectively
  • Developing real-time data pipelines to address gaps in our product offering
  • Optimizing customer experiences through data-driven insights

In this early phase of our journey, data will be the guiding force shaping the future. The Data Team at Twinkl will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, and your expertise in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools will be key.

Collaborate with senior leaders, contribute to in-house training sessions, and work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate data-led solutions into our products and services.

Your role will involve deriving actionable insights and actively contributing to a cultural shift where decisions are powered by data.

  • Passion for Twinkl's mission, education, and data science
  • Experience as a Data Scientist with a track record of adding value
  • Proficient in Python and SQL
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, pandas, or matplotlib
  • Quick learner with the ability to acquire and apply new skills independently
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
