Data Analyst Apprentice - Level 4

What You’ll Be Doing

Our two-year apprenticeship is a great opportunity to learn how data provides business insight to a large organisation. As an apprentice Data Analyst, you’ll join an area of the business and work closely with stakeholders across National Highways to identify their data needs, extract key information and present clear, meaningful findings to a variety of audiences.

Through real-world experience and your learning programme, you’ll develop your skills and knowledge in:

  1. Data gathering from different sources
  2. Data analysis tools and methods
  3. Data visualisation techniques
  4. Communicating data and findings through technical notes, reports and presentations
  5. Developing and maintaining good working relationships

You’ll study towards a Level 4 apprenticeship, which will open the door to all sorts of careers in data analytics, data science and related digital and technology fields.

  1. The ability to work effectively with others in a team
  2. The ability to work to timescales, understanding when and how to prioritise
  3. The ability to give and receive information effectively
  4. The ability to write clearly and concisely
  5. A desire and passion to grow your career at National Highways

To be eligible for the apprenticeship learning programme, you’ll also need to meet these essential requirements:

  1. Minimum of five GCSEs (including English and Maths, at grade C/grade 4 or above) plus:
  2. 2 A Levels OR equivalent Level 3 qualifications (e.g. BTEC, T Level) in a relevant subject

Assessment centres will take place in April and May 2025.

To be eligible for a place on the programme, you must be available to attend the 4-day induction, 8th -11th September 2025.

All offers for our apprenticeships are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including Right to Work, reference, and DBS criminal record checks.

Due to the salary level of this role, we cannot offer sponsorship for the position for individuals that don't have the Right to Work in the UK. Successful candidates will require Right to Work for the duration of the programme.
