Analytics Manager - Richmond , hybrid

Would you like to manage your own analytics projects, combining your technical and communication skills to support and influence senior business leaders?

Does sitting at the heart of a global exhibitions business, driving its strategy and performance across all areas of business excite you?

About the Role

This is not a typical analytics role! While you will frequently use your data and statistical modeling skills, you will also build and utilize your consulting skills. You will manage projects from initial scoping to implementation, communicating complex insights to your colleagues. You will work with diverse leadership teams and cultures to succeed in a high-performing business.

This role is part of RX’s Insight & Analytics team, based in RX’s head office in Richmond (London). You will report to the Head of Insight & Analytics and occasionally travel to our various global offices for project meetings and workshops.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end analytics delivery, including:

  • Defining the problem and project timelines with stakeholders.
  • Identifying and sourcing data.
  • Using advanced analytics to gain relevant insights from the data.
  • Preparing effective presentation materials to communicate your insights.
  • Collaborating with business unit teams in implementation, measurement, and review.

Define, document, communicate, and demonstrate best practices:

  • Building a network across the group.
  • Creating best practice content based on analytics innovations and project work.
  • Publishing reports and sharing case studies.
  • Organizing and running analytics workshops, webinars, and events.
  • Enthusiastically sharing project work learnings with leaders and teams.

Personal development and ad-hoc guidance for leaders and teams:

  • Contributing to workshops to help tackle key strategic challenges.
  • Actively seeking and communicating insights and ideas from outside the exhibitions industry.
  • Transferring skills and capabilities wherever possible to colleagues.
  • Continuously developing your own skill set and capability.

Requirements

  • 5 years+ experience practicing advanced analytics and working with data, ideally in large corporate environments
  • Data Visualisation tools (Power BI preferred but not essential)
  • Analytics programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
  • Analytics modelling techniques (e.g. linear / logistic regression, clustering, classification modelling)
  • Generating insights from data
  • Thinking strategically and tactically – seeing the “big picture” and operational details
  • Communicating and presenting, both written and oral
  • Use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have expertise in:

  • Project Management
  • AWS
  • Functional experience and expertise (e.g. sales, marketing, pricing)
  • Primary research techniques (quantitative or qualitative)

Work in a way that works for you
