About the Role

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models using dbt and Snowflake to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Own and optimise data transformations (ETL/ELT), ensuring efficient data processing and a single source of truth.
  • Write, test, and optimise SQL transformations for analytics, reporting, and self-serve BI.
  • Work closely with analysts, product teams, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of our ThoughtSpot BI platform, ensuring teams have access to accurate, actionable insights.
  • Implement and maintain data quality checks, testing frameworks, and monitoring to ensure reliability across all datasets.
  • Use Python for automation, data integration, and workflow orchestration when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in modern data stack technologies and drive improvements in data infrastructure and workflows.

What we need from you:

  • Strong expertise in SQL, including writing and optimising complex queries.
  • Experience designing and managing ETL pipelines in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with building and managing data pipelines and models.
  • Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, and modern data stack principles.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (e.g., S3, Glue).
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to work with large datasets and optimise workflows for performance.
  • Experience with BI tools like ThoughtSpot, Looker, or Tableau and exposure to orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
