Coventry - Free parking
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am and 5:00pm (Mon-Thurs), 8:30am to 1:30pm (Fri) (37 hours per week)
We are currently recruiting for an Economic Analyst on behalf of a well-established and respected organisation based in Coventry. This role offers an excellent opportunity for either a recent Economics or Statistics graduate or somebody looking to grow their career in data and Economics analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting & Reporting
    o Maintain and update forecasting models as new data becomes available.
    o Produce quarterly forecast reports.
    o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance forecast outputs.
  • Market Data Programme Support
    o Administer and improve various market data programmes, including:
     Monthly Sales Reports: Collect and analyse data to produce regular sales reports using Excel and business intelligence platforms.
     Annual Remuneration Surveys: Coordinate data collection and reporting through benchmarking tools.
     Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Generate standard and bespoke reports for different member or client groups.
     Quarterly Trade Surveys: Distribute surveys and analyse results.
     Health & Safety Benchmarking: Compile and report on industry-specific incident data.
  • Third-Party Coordination
    o Collaborate with external data providers to develop and support industry indices and regional market benchmarks.
  • Insights & Communication
    o Produce a weekly economic bulletin summarising key trends.
    o Share relevant market information with internal teams and stakeholders.
    o Conduct market share analysis and produce detailed sector reports.
    o Present data insights at meetings and industry events.
    o Support outreach initiatives by preparing and sending email communications as required.

    Skills & Experience:
  • Degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Understanding of Economic Modules and Econometrics

  • Experience with data/ statistical analysis
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent time and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
  • Comfortable liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK for meetings or events.
  • Brings a can-do attitude and a willingness to take initiative in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
