We are looking for a

creative and driven Senior Statistician to join the Modernising Medical Microbiology (MMM) Unit at the University of Oxford. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-impact research in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment spanning medical statistics, epidemiology, clinical microbiology, and data science. You’ll work with large-scale electronic health records and pathogen sequencing data to design, conduct, and publish innovative statistical analyses, helping improve infection diagnosis, management, and surveillance. You will also supervise PhD students, support junior statisticians, and help shape the future direction of the Unit’s research. If you’re passionate about using statistics to tackle real-world health challenges, and keen to work in a supportive, forward-thinking environment, we’d love to hear from you.
