Our Team

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has two locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) and the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland). The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

Your mission

  • Personnel and organizational management of the Wind Tunnel Model Systems & Electronics Team
  • Research & development in the field of wind tunnel model technologies (sensors, measuring systems, actuation, control, corrections, monitoring, calibrations)
  • WT Model onboard system concept definition, selection of components and coordination with Aero model design. Electrical design & installation. Control and acquisition SW (model side) development
  • Responsible for data quality and repeatability (Model side), including calibration and model readiness (coordination with PWS & WT operations)
  • Continuous improvement, increase of functionality and technological vigilance, as required to improve testing performance
  • Accountability for detailed and up to date documentation for all the developed and installed systems
  • Coordination and close collaboration with other teams within the WT Group (WT Data and Systems, Operators, Facility), Aero Operations (Model Shop, Value Stream Planning, Design) and WT testing teams, for what concerns running of F1 aero development WT testing programs, and related continuous improvement / innovation projects within the Aerodynamics Department

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering or automation or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience as a leader
  • Proven experience in F1, Motorsport or similar environment
  • Several years of professional experience in the development of electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience in data engineering and measurement technology
  • Knowledge in electronic circuitry and PCB design and embedded systems programming
  • In-depth knowledge in project management:
    • Preparation of schedules
    • Correspondence with suppliers
    • Preparation of status reports and reports
    • Quotation requests/comparisons with evaluation
    • Support of acceptance tests and quality assessments
    • Commissioning experience and training of personnel
  • Analytical and structured approach as well as the ability to recognize complex tasks and derive concrete measures and goals
  • Conceptual thinking
  • Self-motivating, responsible and meticulous
  • Accurate and precise way of working
  • Willingness and openness to learning new things
  • Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory; German is an asset
