We're seeking a future team member for the role ofVice President, POM Product Owner IIto join our Asset servicing team. This role is inManchester, UK and will be working on a hybrid basis (3 days a week in the office).

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner/Manager, Business, SMEs, and End Users to gather and develop story-level requirements in JIRA that allow the Development Team to deliver consistent high-quality code.
  • Act as a central point between the Product Owner/Manager and Development Team.
  • Manage defects and participate in all agile/sprint activities (planning, backlog refinement, retrospective, standups, and design).
  • Create and maintain story-level functional, non-functional requirements, and Acceptance Criteria in JIRA (excluding technical tasks).
  • Write and elaborate stories to align with the definition of "Ready for Development" while ensuring alignment to the operating model/data models:
    • Augment stories with additional materials as required, including wireframes and flow diagrams.
    • Write stories that are granular to achieve a 4-week sprint.
    • Ensure stories address the problem statement and achieve business outcomes.
    • Write Acceptance Criteria in Gherkin language, ready for automated testing as required.
    • Validate stories with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product Owner, Business, SMEs, and End Users to gather requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Write outcomes and Acceptance Criteria (as captured under requirements) including negative tests, ready to be used in the creation of test scripts.
  • Review test cases with testers to ensure test results meet expected outcomes as defined in acceptance criteria.
  • Review testing failures to identify potential missed/new requirements or defects.
  • Log identified defects in JIRA, and work with Scrum Lead and Dev team for resolution.
  • Validate story acceptance at the end of the sprint.
  • Prepare and circulate release notes as part of operational readiness.
  • Support other Ops readiness activities as delegated by the Product Owner.

  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience in Project Management using JIRA & Confluence.
  • Skills in Business Analytics using Microsoft Power BI & Tableau.
  • Bachelor's or post-graduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.
  • Relevant market/industry certifications - e.g., AAC, CCBA, CBAP.
  • Relevant Business acumen/knowledge of:
    • Asset Servicing: good understanding of asset servicing business.
    • Custody Product Knowledge, specifically:
      • Portfolio Services, i.e. Corporate Action, Income, Proxy, and Class Action products.
      • Tax knowledge.
      • Trade and Settlement lifecycle including Instruction Capture.
      • Securities Financing Transactions.
      • Custody Data architecture.
    • Experience in Project/Product delivery (Agile delivery preferred).
