Reporting to the Director of FP&A based in Europe you will be the key provider of analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making for this c£40m Division across the UK.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports, (annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and cost analysis)

  • Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through analysing business data and financial key performance figures

  • Performing analysis to evaluate and optimize the financial performance of the business

  • Cross-departmental collaboration with internal stakeholders to continuously improve data quality as well as internal procedures

  • Preparing ad hoc analysis for the global group and participating in company projects

  • Your main focus will be on the UK sites, analysing the profitability of key revenue streams and consolidated reporting/ monitoring

  • You will be liaising and working to finance business partner with operations and effectively be the eyes and ears of the overseas Director of FP&A

    Our client sees the ideal applicant offering several years within another Distribution/ Logistics or similar industry – working to support another FP&A function with key trends, data analysis and strong communication skills – written and over TEAMS.

    This is an ideal opportunity for someone working towards CIMA or ACCA qualification whether currently studying towards part qualified, or more finalist level. You should also offer excellent capability across financial software and data analytics tools from Excel.

  • Proficiency with financial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP system skills (S4/Navision), Power BI, Tableau, or other data mining tools)

    Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position

  • Experience in distribution companies and/or small production units

  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business analysis

    Key Skills:

  • Be concerned with making finance relevant to the company

  • Process-minded with a continuous improvement mentality

  • Be curious and eager to learn and grow as a financial professional

  • You are not only good at numbers, but also at social relations. With your great social and communication skills, you build strong relationships with departments and employees!

  • You are able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide practical approaches to different challenges

  • You are efficient, highly analytical, accurate, methodical, and meet deadlines

  • You like IT and Power BI

  • You are ready to travel to our European locations – This is very occasional as a lot is on Teams

    You will be offered:
