Our client is a global investment manager on the forefront of the quantitative investment world, with offices around the world and a strong commitment to developing a world-class investment platform through collaboration, efficiency and pragmatism. Owing to their success from their systematic approach, they are now expanding into discretionary trading, with a focus on developing central specialist desks, including a Telecommunications, Media and Technology desk with a sector coverage within Semi-conductors and Hardware.
Based in their state-of-the-state London office, you will be responsible for your own separate research group within the Semi-conductor and Hardware sector. Your responsibilities would involve conducting in-depth financial analysis, whilst guiding their discretionary trading strategies by developing investment theses. Reporting to three senior figures within the team, you would be working alongside traders, other analysts and quant researchers in order to respond to in-the-moment market movement, and every day will bring new challenges. This is a dynamic company who encourage independence and autonomy in your work, and your role will be pivotal in influencing investment decisions and portfolio management strategies.
About The Role:
- Execute in-depth fundamental analysis of Hardware and Semi-Conductor stocks.
- Become the leading expert within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector and utilize your knowledge of the field to enhance the success of the Fundamental Research Team.
- Partner alongside Quantitative Researchers and Data Scientists to implement investment strategies using their rich, unparalleled data sets.
- Build and expand your strategies, establishing your own Paper Book within 6-12 months.
About You:
- Established experience of Fundamental Research/Equity Analysis within TMT, with a consistent focus upon the Semi-conductor and Hardware sector.
- Maintain a proactive and engaged attitude towards building relationships, in order to foster a collaborative environment.
- Carry a strong sense of independence and autonomy within your work.
- Bring passion to your sector, but also be keen to learn further and explore the wider picture, applying what you know in order to create cutting-edge strategies.
Further Context:
- Due to the new and exciting development of the desk, you would be required to be in-office fulltime.
