Bedfordshire - Hybrid - 2 days per week (Flexible)

£300 - £375 Per day Outside IR35

The Role

Our client are a leading Digital Transformation company revolutionising the way their market is administered. They are looking for an exceptional Test Automation Engineer to play a crucial role in the success of their Programme.

As we approach the second major release of the Programme, the requirement has arisen for someone to join the team to support the automation of our manual regression testing process.

This function currently forms part of the services provided by the development partner we have been working with during the early stages of the Programme. This new role requirement is part of a strategic decision to bring more capability inhouse within their business. You would initially be working closely with the development partner as part of the handover of the responsibility for the administration of the Tenancy, as well as working with the rest of the core Digital team, including a newly formed engineering function.

Their vission is to create products that put customers at the heart of everything we do. This role is crucial in fulfilling that vision and ensuring that the products we provide are of a high quality. You will report to the Head of Software Engineering and work alongside a small, core team and our digital partners.

This opportunity should allow the successful candidate to expand their technical knowledge and expose them to various parts of the Horseracing Industry.

What will you be doing?

Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality automated regression suites
Working closely with other QA members, product managers, and other engineers to understand what needs to be tested and the best approach to automating those tests.

Extensive automated regression testing skills for Web Applications and Dynamics 365 Power Platform Applications.
Successfully automated an extensive manual regression suite
Is able to contribute to discussions around what needs to be tested and the most effective way of testing it
Is pragmatic in balancing test coverage with associated risk
The desire to collaborate closely with other QA members, Product Managers, Product Owners and Data Architects to challenge and support in delivering Racing Digital's vision.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Desirable Skills:
