🤝The Team


You’ll be part of theNorth American Data and Development Team, which plays a key role in delivering Creditsafe’s US data strategy. The team spans Cardiff, Hyderabad, and the US, and is responsible for managing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and driving improvements across our cloud platforms.


This is a technically skilled team with close collaboration between engineering, analytics, and business teams.

🧭About the Role


This is a hands-on technical role focused onbuilding automation,optimising data workflows, andsupporting strategic data initiatives. You’ll work with Python, SQL, APIs, and AWS to build solutions that enhance performance and enable smarter decision-making.


You don’t need to know everything on day one—what’s important is your ability to learn, adapt, and contribute to the team’s shared goals.

🛠️Key Responsibilities


Write Python scripts, optimise SQL queries, and build system integrations using APIs.




Investigate and resolve technical issues across Oracle PL/SQL, AWS Athena, Redshift, and cloud platforms.




Collaborate across data, analytics, and business teams to align priorities and implement solutions.




Design and deploy scheduled jobs, data pipelines, and cloud-based automation workflows.




Manage backlogs and support sprint planning to streamline delivery processes.




Create and maintain technical documentation that supports maintainability and onboarding.

🧠Skills & Experience


We welcome a variety of experiences—whether gained through work, self-teaching, freelance projects, or academic study.


📊 Core Technical Skills


SQL: Proven experience in query optimisation and performance tuning (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL).




Python: Used for scripting, automation, and API integrations.




AWS: Familiarity with cloud services such as S3, Lambda, Athena, and Redshift.




API: Experience consuming or building REST APIs and working with system integrations.




Data Management: Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, large datasets, and query performance.


🧩 Analytical & Collaborative Skills


Comfortable analysing and resolving data inconsistencies.




Experience prioritising tasks and managing product backlogs or tickets.




Confident communicating technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.




Proactive and self-directed—able to investigate issues independently and seek guidance when needed.


🌱 Bonus Skills (Nice to Have, Not Essential)


Familiarity with CI/CD or infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).




Interest in AI/ML tools or automation platforms.




Experience using data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
