Job description

We are currently recruiting experienced part time support staff to work with Rachel, a lady living in the Wishaw area of North Lanarkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker looking to develop their already existing support skills and to be involved in helping Rachel enjoy life and develop.

"I am Rachel and I am 45 years old. I have a kind heart with a passion for caring for others, I have been told I have a great sense of humour and love a good laugh.

I have a close relationship with my mum and my kids, it is important that I stay connected with them regularly. I am a very sociable person that likes to spend time with people who understand me and my needs. I am always up for socialising and meeting new people, it is important you have a good sense of humour!

I love watching TV and listening to music - especially GBX! I do enjoy a good sing a long too. I enjoy attending clubs and activities in my community - my current favourite is a social club, which is on Fridays with a range of activities such as bingo, karaoke, and quizzes. I would love to get out in my community more and attending new things like swimming!

I currently live with significant physical and cognitive difficulties because of a brain infection I contracted several years ago. This means it is vital that I have the correct level of support to keep me safe and help me achieve my goals in life. My team supports me to make decisions regarding my health and wellbeing as I can struggle with this at times, as I do not have insight into the extent of my brain injury. I need structure in my life and my routine is very important to me, I require my support team to understand this and always follow my routine."

What I am looking for:
