We have an exciting opportunity for a technically minded Account Manager, possibly from the consultancy space, to join a forward-thinking and innovative company based in the East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with clients on a variety of exciting projects, serving as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of top tier accounts. To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

•          3+ years’ experience in customer success and/or account management predominately in B2B environment

•          Excellent communication skills with a focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables

•          Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations

•          Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study (Sciences, Engineering or Technology) or equivalent work experience

•          Technically driven to deliver

•          Ability to understand client “pain points”

•          Track record of delivering against a revenue target

•          Experience of account management with FTSE 100 /Fortune 500 clients

•          Knowledge of the R&D / Innovation space

•          Ability to write sales proposals & build presentations

The ideal candidate will be a highly resilient self-starter, motivated and willing to work in a technical environment with technical leads in clients project teams. You will be comfortable with a “consultative” sales approach, and a gradual sales cycle, reaching sales agreements for large fees.

Within this position, you’ll also be:

•          Managing multiple accounts; developing positive working relationships with all customer touch points

•          Driving client retention, renewals, upsells and client satisfaction

•          Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to understand customer goals and key performance metrics and exceed those goals throughout the campaign

•          Leveraging technical tools and quantitative data to manage campaigns to success, high customer satisfaction and renewal

•          Preparing campaign insights reporting, including analysis and research

•          Focusing on ensuring superior customer service levels are maintained, as well as operational excellence and strategic insight

•          Maintaining CRM systems

•          Preparing stats for own performance on a weekly basis

Salary & Working Hours

Salary is £65,000 - £70,000 + uncapped commission but a realistic OTE of £90,000

Working hours are Monday – Friday

Some travel outside of the UK may be required
