We’re excited to welcome a Statistician to our talented Research and Statistics team, where you’ll help shape the future of assessments.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our assessments are meaningful and effective, supporting the creation of new tools and services, and reviewing our current portfolio with a thoughtful, analytical lens.

You’ll be involved in statistical analysis, offering guidance on data collection and transformation across a variety of internal and external projects.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting both foundational and advanced statistical analysis of research and assessment data.
  • Contributing to services for clients including Multi Academy Trusts, international school groups, and ministries worldwide.
  • Assisting with internal educational research using large-scale assessment datasets.
  • Providing input into assessment content and reporting, both internally and externally.
  • Helping design and implement statistical analysis for trials and standardisation of new and existing assessments.
  • Contributing to proposals and project design with a statistical perspective.
  • Following quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Keeping clear records of analyses and technical documentation.
  • Offering statistical training and support to colleagues when needed.
What you’ll bring:

We’re looking for a graduate statistician with at least 12 months of experience (including placement year experience). You’ll have a solid understanding of applied statistical methods and be comfortable using analytical tools like R, SPSS or Python.

  • A broad understanding of applied statistical techniques.
  • A willingness to work with classical test theory and item response theory.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Experience with general linear models, forecasting, and similar techniques.
  • A degree in statistics or a related field.
  • The ability to present findings clearly to a range of audiences.

This is a hybrid role based at our London office in Brentford (TW8 9AG), with occasional travel to other offices. We are looking at a salary of £35,000.
