Staff Data Platform Engineer - Cyber DataPlatformCompetitive salaryLondonAbout the roleAs the Staff DataPlatform Engineer in the Cyber Data Platform team, you will be keyin designing, developing, and deploying a scalable data platformthat empowers users to create advanced analytics, machine learning,and GenAI solutions to enhance our security defences. So, talk to us throughout your application about how we cansupport.You will be responsible forTechnical Leadership: Take incharge of the design, development and delivery of cyber dataplatform solutions and provide technical guidance and mentorshipacross all teams of cyber data platform. Data Architecture: Design,build and management of realtime, near realtime and batch dataarchitectures that support threat detection, incident response andreporting through advanced analytics, machine learning and GenAIcapabilities.Coding: Contribute to raising the quality bar of theteams codebase by producing high-quality code, conducting thoroughpeer reviews, and proactively providing constructive feedback toother team members on their code. Data Security and Compliance:Implement and enforce data security standard methodologies,ensuring the protection of sensitive information and compliancewith relevant regulations.Automation and DevOps: Implement variousautomations and DevOps practices to streamline the deployment,configuration, and management of data platform components.You willneedProven experience in leading the teams to deliver resilientsystems and providing technical guidance for optimal productsolutions.Experience building data platforms on cloud services likeDatabricks on Azure or GCP BigQuery, with the goal of delivering aself-service data platform for users.Proficient in Python and SQL,with a solid grasp of architectural patterns, coding standards,code reviews, version control, and CI/CD practices.Expertise in ETLand ELT frameworks for large scale realtime and batch dataprocessing, with hands-on experience in Kafka, Flink, Airflow anddbt as well as containerisation technologies like Docker andKubernetes.Ability to provide clear input, guide, opportunities tohelp engineers develop and advance.Knowledge of cybersecurityprinciples and practices.What’s in it for youWe’re all about thelittle helps.
