Join our dynamic Digital Marketing Data Engineering team at Fanatics, where you'll play a critical

role in shaping the big data ecosystem that powers our eCommerce and Digital Marketing platforms.

As a full-time Staff Data Engineer, you’ll design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and

architectures, ensuring seamless data flow and effective collection across cross-functional teams.

You will also leverage your backend engineering skills to support API integrations and real-time data

exchanges.

What We're Looking For:

• BTech/MTech/BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical

experience.

• 9+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record in building data

pipelines and big data solutions.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering roles.

• Proficiency in Big Data technologies such as:

o Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Amazon Redshift, Athena, EMR

o Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka

o AWS services (S3, Lambda)

• Expertise in at least one programming language: Scala, Java, or Python.

• Strong background in designing and building data models, integrating data from multiple

sources, and developing robust ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Expert-level SQL programming skills.

• Proven data analysis and data modeling expertise, with the ability to create data-driven

insights and effective visualizations.

• Familiarity with data quality, lineage, and governance frameworks.

• Energetic, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a passion for delivering high-quality

solutions.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the e-commerce or retail domain.

• Knowledge of StarRocks or similar OLAP engines.

• Experience with Web Services, API integrations, third-party data exchanges, and streaming

platforms.

• A passion for building scalable, high-quality analytics platforms and data products.
