Our client is a leader within the heating solutions sector & keen to recruit a Specification Sales Manager who has strong experience within the HVAC industry selling to M&E Consultants.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director you will be responsible for building relationships with M&E Consultants to achieve specification on a range of projects within heating solutions, across both the residential and commercial sectors.

Job Role:

Visit and develop relationships with current and prospective Specifiers (specifying Mechanical / Building Services Engineers) and current and prospective contractors (mechanical sub-contractors, main contractors & end users) to explain the benefits and advantages of our clients’ heating solutions

Assist the customer in defining project requirements, influencing the preparation of specifications or matching our products with existing specifications.

Prepare accurate and appropriate equipment schedules and specifications where required for all systems and products as required by customers.

Update and maintain the company’s CRM system, logging and following up all calls/leads and enquiries to ensure that the order is secured.

Ensure the company’s quotation database and forecasting system is updated and maintained in line with expected delivery date, probability of success, reason for losing order if unsuccessful, relevant contacts etc

Identify major potential projects for the region and develop these from start to finish

Monitor competitor activity and trends within the Region

Undertake duties supporting learning and development of peers, whilst supporting any identified change management and process improvement opportunities within the business

Use lead generation tools or work with the internal Business Intelligence unit when targeting new business and developing pipeline

Act as an ambassador for the company and ensure that the organisation is fully engaged with internal and external stakeholders and partners

Actively participate to team and individual projects as required, including internal policies, induction programme implementation and Health & Safety

Provide feedback into the innovations process and provide a customer focused view in the development of robust technical solutions

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience within HVAC sales, selling to M&E Consultants in London or Home Counties is essential

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and excellent leadership skills
