The Intelligent Automation Platform is an EnablingPlatform as part of the Enabling Services CIO in GCOO. Our purposeis to ‘automate the routine whilst supercharging our understandingof customers in order to help Britain Prosper’. The emphasis is onthe provision of products that enable automation, in combinationwith generating, interpreting, and acting upon the data thatimproves our customer understanding. As a member of theVoice Analytics team within the Conversational Experience &Analytics Lab, you’ll play a vital role in our development of newchat and audio pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’llcollaborate on innovative solutions that incorporate pioneering AIand machine learning solutions, and on delivering actionableinsights from vast amounts of unstructured data to hundreds ofusers.

Lloyds Banking Group isseeking an experienced Software Engineer with a track record ofdelivering high-quality work to join our team in Bristol, UK. As aSoftware Engineer, you'll play a critical role in building the bankof thefuture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop,test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet businessneeds.
  • Write unit and integration tests, andalign with coding standards to ensure codequality.
  • Collaborate with engineers, productmanagers, and testers to deliver high-performance backendservices.
  • Work closely with SRE and DevOps teamto monitor and troubleshoot existingservices.

Requirements

  • Experienceas a Software Engineer or in a similarrole.
  • Strong understanding of softwaredevelopment principles with experience of building highlyobservable and scalable solutions.
  • Experiencein Python. Experience of Node.js and React would be anadvantage.
  • Be a self-starter, comfortable todrive self-learning by reading existingcodebases.
  • Experience with GCP including toolssuch as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage, or theirequivalent AWS/Azure services would be anadvantage.
  • Strong communication skills with theability to convey technical concepts to non-technicalaudiences.
  • Proficiency with Git & anunderstanding of CI/CD and its implementation in cloudplatforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles& practices including scrum methodology and associated toolssuch as Jira.
  • Familiarity with software testingmethodologies and practices.
  • Outstandingproblem-solving and analyticalskills.
  • Effective collaboration andrelationship-building capabilities.
