Job Summary:

We are seeking a Backend/DevOps Engineer with a strong full stack background and around 2-3 years of experience. You will play a key role in building and maintaining our backend system, while also applying your skills in DevOps and data engineering. Your work will involve working with both SQL and No-SQL databases (including Elasticsearch and MongoDB) and contributing to a range of projects and new features from backend services to full stack applications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintainquality software and web applications.
  • Contribute to full stack development projects, ensuring smooth integration between frontend and backend systems.
  • Design highly scalable, testable code.
  • Manage and optimize databases, including SQL and No-SQL systems (Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
  • Implement and maintain DevOps practices to streamline deployment and operations.
  • Design and execute data engineering pipelines to support business insights and product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Take ownership of tasks and drive projects forward in our fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.


Requirements:

  • Approximately 2-3+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for backend development, with a proven ability to design, implement, and optimize scalable APIs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with a hands-on, proactive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Must be based in the UK and have the right to work.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2-3+ years of professional experience.

  • Have worked previously at a startup.
  • Front-end development knowledge.
