Snowflake Developer - Manchester | £70,000 + Benefits | Hybrid (3 Days On-Site) | Permanent

A leading consulting firm is hiring a Snowflake Developer to work on high-impact projects within the banking sector. You'll join a collaborative data team, delivering cloud-based solutions for a major financial services client.

Location: Manchester (3 days on-site)
Salary: Up to £70,000 + excellent benefits
Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain Snowflake-based data platforms.

Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Ensure best practices in data modelling, governance, and architecture are applied across projects.

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of cloud computing and Snowflake architecture.

Proficient in SQL (ANSI-SQL).

Solid experience with data models: Dimensional, ER, and Data Vault.

Strong working knowledge of Snowflake internals (roles, dynamic tables, streams, tasks, policies).

Hands-on experience with Python, GitLab, and Snowpark container services.

Exposure to data science, machine learning, data governance, and data management.

Proven track record in data-centric project delivery.

Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.

Positive, proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Desirable Skills

Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle.

Background in investment banking or financial services.

Familiarity with Power BI and statistics.

Ability to support multiple concurrent projects.

Tech Stack: Snowflake, ANSI-SQL, Python, GitLab, Snowpark, Cloud Platforms, Dimensional Modelling
