Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a technical leader to help global telecommunications service providers transform their businesses with AWS cloud and generative AI technologies. AWS Solutions Architects work on the most complex customer challenges and opportunities leading in defining technical strategies and developing our own capabilities.

The problem domains are diverse: 5G monetization network function virtualization digital customer journeys OSS/BSS transformation mobile edge computing hyperscale data and cybersecurity. At your disposal is the breadth of AWS including GenAI classical AI/ML edge computing IoT and data analytics.

As part of the Telecommunications Solutions Architecture team you will collaborate with customers internal AWS teams and AWS partners to deliver solutions to the unique challenges faced by telecom customers. You will be the singlethreaded owner of the AWS technology strategy for your customer(s) and account team(s) to drive AWS adoption. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value while assessing risks balancing tradeoffs and encouraging risktasking to maximize your customers business value of AWS is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think longterm about business product and technical outcomes.

Externally they are recognized thought leaders and influence the strategy of our customers. Internally they earn a reputation of role models and deliver barraising guidance to the broader Solutions Architecture team.


Key job responsibilities
In this role your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions with the opportunity to invent cloudnative reference architectures for a variety of use cases.
You will take a leading role in the creation and sharing of best practices technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers code samples blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology and industry trends (e.g. through workshops user groups meetups public speaking online videos or conferences).

This role is within the EMEA Telco organization and you would be working with large Telco customers.

Role requires domestic and international (mainly Europe) travel up to 30.

AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small and midmarket accounts to enterpriselevel customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that worldclass support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building missioncritical applications on top of AWS services.

Bachelors degree in computer science engineering mathematics or equivalent
Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics).
Experience in design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures
Experience communicating across technical and nontechnical audiences including executive level stakeholders or clients

Experience in infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking
Experience working with end user or developer communities
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
Knowledge of AWS services market segments customer base and industry verticals
Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Experience working with customers in regulated industries
