Senior Software Developer - .NET / Azure

The beauty of my Stockport based-client is they are a large firm but have the culture & Agility of a much smaller firm. This means you get variety in your work, and you don't need to worry about getting stuck in older stuff.

There’s extra credit if you can work full stack with .Netcore 8, Vue.js TypeScript, , and API micro-services but the role is largely working with the backend. You work extensively with Azure and the services such as KeyVault and ServiceBus.

Working with CI/CD pipelines to allow for continuous integration into test and production environments. Writing meaningful unit tests (xUnit and Cypress) and integration tests to validate work. There will be lots of work also with Kubernetes/Docker.

• Team Collaboration: Work within an Agile setup alongside Product Owners, UX Designers, and Data Engineers to bring projects to life.
• .NET Mastery: Use your .NET and/or .NET Core skills to build reliable, customer-focused services that hit quality targets.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate across all levels, making the complex clear for both tech and non-tech audiences.
• Agile Frameworks: Leverage your Agile experience to keep things efficient and on track.

What You’ll Need:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience delivering high-quality software on time, with a strong grasp of .NETCore and service-oriented design.
• Agile Mindset: Familiarity with Agile practices and the full development lifecycle.
• Framework Know-How: Experience with C# frameworks and patterns to support robust development.
• People Skills: Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Extra Credit:

• TDD, CI/CD Knowledge: Experience with Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Cloud Experience: Familiarity with Azure or other cloud-native environments is a big plus.
