Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Analytics Manager to join our Marketing department at the National Trust. In this role you’ll lead a team of talented data analysts and marketing specialists to measure and improve cross-channel marketing campaigns and supporter journeys. As an influential leader you’ll set the vision and strategy for the team and deliver insight about our audiences and how our marketing is performing.

What it's like to work here

Marketing at the National Trust lies at the heart of connecting people and places. Using data and insight, we work to understand the behaviours and motivations of our supporters to inspire meaningful connections, promote our loved brand and encourage people to visit, join, donate or volunteer.

As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.

What you'll be doing

As a member of the Supporter Data & Customer Journeys team, you’ll be responsible for delivering marketing and audience analytics to Marketing and a range of internal stakeholders.

You’ll develop and build your team to leverage our new marketing and data platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Intelligence, Tableau and Snowflake) and support them in producing detailed analysis, identifying trends and patterns in audience behaviour and telling the story in a simple, actionable way that helps business stakeholders understand our audience’s needs. You will guide and implement our marketing segmentation strategy, enabling the delivery of personalised customer journeys.

Cross-functional team collaboration is key in this role to build on the established foundations, and ensure the right access to data for marketing and other areas of the Trust. You’ll also work with IT and Data teams to ensure data quality standards and compliance with data privacy legislation.

Who we're looking for

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role. We’re looking for:

An organised team leader who can inspire and develop a team of data analysts Expert knowledge and experience delivering customer analytics and customer segmentation strategies Expert knowledge of cross-channel marketing analytics, channel performance and attribution The ability to condense analysis into actionable insight to inform and influence business investment decisions The ability to synthesise and communicate complex information effectively to non-technical audiences Proven experience of databases, data models, SQL and marketing and digital analytics tools Proven experience in enabling data-driven customer journeys and experiences

The package

The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.

•EV car lease scheme

•Perks at work discounts such as gym memberships, shopping discount codes, cinema discounts

Neurodiversity in Data Science Careers: Turning Different Thinking into a Superpower

Data science is all about turning messy, real-world information into decisions, products & insights. It sits at the crossroads of maths, coding, business & communication – which means it needs people who see patterns, ask unusual questions & challenge assumptions. That makes data science a natural fit for many neurodivergent people, including those with ADHD, autism & dyslexia. If you’re neurodivergent & thinking about a data science career, you might have heard comments like “you’re too distracted for complex analysis”, “too literal for stakeholder work” or “too disorganised for large projects”. In reality, the same traits that can make traditional environments difficult often line up beautifully with data science work. This guide is written for data science job seekers in the UK. We’ll explore: What neurodiversity means in a data science context How ADHD, autism & dyslexia strengths map to common data science roles Practical workplace adjustments you can request under UK law How to talk about your neurodivergence in applications & interviews By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of where you might thrive in data science – & how to turn “different thinking” into a real career advantage.

Why Data Science Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Data science once meant advanced statistics, machine learning models and coding in Python or R. In the UK today, it has become one of the most in-demand professions across sectors — from healthcare to finance, retail to government. But as the field matures, employers now expect more than technical modelling skills. Modern data science is multidisciplinary. It requires not just coding and algorithms, but also legal knowledge, ethical reasoning, psychological insight, linguistic clarity and human-centred design. Data scientists are expected to interpret, communicate and apply data responsibly, with awareness of law, human behaviour and accessibility. In this article, we’ll explore why data science careers in the UK are becoming more multidisciplinary, how these five disciplines intersect with data science, and what job-seekers & employers need to know to succeed in this transformed field.
