Your future position

Kpler is looking for an experienced Analyst to help support and further develop our new European gas product. The preferred location is London, but we are a global team and other locations are considered too. Our constantly evolving offering spans all aspects of market data including gas demand, production, LNG send-out, and pipeline flows.

Your mission:

    • Lead the development and monitoring of the new Kpler Europe gas platforms and ensuring the highest level of accuracy and timeliness of our data. This will involve daily checking, structuring, sourcing, analysis and visualisation of data.
    • Maintain and expand a comprehensive dataset relating to the European gas market.
    • Collaborate with and support the other Data Operations Analysts covering LNG, as well as the Insights Analysts covering European gas.
    • Collaborate with the product and technical teams to improve Kpler data quality and further develop our differentiators, including gas demand forecasting, data visualisation, and integration with other Kpler tools.
    • Work closely with the global sales and customer success teams to demonstrate the value of Kpler's solutions to the industry.
    • Follow the main events occurring in the European gas markets, track specific trends impacting global trade flows.
    • Regularly interact with prospective/existing clients to help them extract as much value from our products as possible, and build a network of contacts in the industry.


It will be a match if you are or have:

    • Have at least 5 years of experience as an Analyst (or a similar role) covering the European gas market.
    • Are skilled at carrying out complex analysis across multiple datasets using appropriate tools, with advanced Excel skills, and a good understanding of SQL or other languages such as Python.
    • Have experience working with large, disparate and/or unstructured data sets.
    • Are a highly motivated individual, a self-starter who will be passionate about owning responsibilities upholding the trusted accuracy and agility of the Kpler data.
    • Possess excellent analytical ability, at ease with working with databases and able to highlight trends and use complex data to support decisions.
    • Have great communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively discuss various technical and business topics with internal and external stakeholders.
