The opportunity



The AI & Data practice works collaboratively with our clients to enhance their ability to solve complex business problems by exploiting data and analytics strategies and solutions. We provide expertise and delivery in three core areas which all work closely together: Data Architecture & Engineering – Focusing on next generation data solution architecture design and implementation Data Management & Strategy – Supporting our clients with Data Strategy, Data Governance Data and Analytics Target Operating Model Design and wider Data Office and CDO support functions Advanced Analytics and AI – enabling businesses to infuse automated insights across their critical internal and client facing processes

Your key responsibilities

Lead delivery on a portfolio of Life and Pensions transformation programmes. A typical programme can include roles such as data platform target state architecture scoping, business case development, data analysis, solution design, and end to end implementation management. As a Senior Manager, you will be engaging daily with senior client leaders and representing EY throughout delivery. Effectively leverage your knowledge and experience to support the delivery of key engagements, nurture valuable relationships both within EY and with clients, and develop strong capabilities through both formal training and working with senior mentors and talented colleagues. Lead development of our Life and Pensions AI and Data market propositions bringing expertise around cloud based data and analytics solution design and implementation combined with a deep understanding of sector domain, processes and data. You will be comfortable working with clients and other EY colleagues across our business to support client engagements and develop thought leadership around data and technology. Build and lead high performing teams, coaching, mentoring and serving as a role model for our people Business development; including the development of long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients. You will lead RFP responses as well as thought leadership that we issue to the market. Represent EY in the local Financial Services ecosystem, collaborating with our clients, FinTechs and Universities as we advance Scotland’s position as a world leader in Financial Services.

Skills and attributes for success

We’re looking for people with a track record of developing new business opportunities within a consulting environment. You should also be comfortable taking ownership as well as working as a team member who has a real desire to share responsibility and provide support to your colleagues, whilst maintaining constant communication on the progress of engagements.

To qualify for the role you must have some or all of the following:

Demonstrable leadership experience delivering Data led transformations in Life and Pensions environments, delivering on complex strategy and transformation activities Advanced knowledge in at least one of our core capabilities of: Data Architecture & Data Engineering Data Management, Data Strategy, Data Governance and Data Quality Advanced Analytics Expert level knowledge of the data requirements and design issues associated with the delivery of data projects. Leading and contributing to business development and go to market activities in the Life and Pensions AI and Data space. You will lead RFP responses and thought leadership papers. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrable experience of building high performing teams and nurturing talent Awareness of the emerging technology trends including adoption of cloud-based data platform and AI technologies Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts at our clients. Ability to successfully deliver multiple engagements, exceed client expectations, manage commercial aspects ( contracts, billing and budgets), and manage quality and risk Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and manage large cross functional projects Intellectual strength / flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalise these into workable solutions which can then be delivered
