This position is suited for individuals with exceptional data literacy skills and a data analytics background. As a Senior Manager, you will lead data analytics on Audit & Assurance engagements, navigating through complex finance and operational systems.

Joining KPMG's Clara Analytics and Technology team, you will lead and champion data analytics initiatives, providing strategic direction to engagement teams across industries.

Description of the role:

Work in teams delivering financial statement audits, technology audits, audit-related data, analytics, and tools; independent assurance over regulatory/ESG/internal controls; learning and development; quality/risk/knowledge management; and technical accounting advice (non-audited entities).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic deployment of technology and D&A across audit engagements, aligning with firm objectives.
  • Analyze outputs to derive insights and identify areas for deeper testing, elevating D&A's role.
  • Review D&A outputs collaboratively to resolve discrepancies before dissemination.
  • Present complex analyses to audit teams using visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Celonis).
  • Lead technology initiatives on audit tenders and Ignition events.
  • Compile insights and findings into reports and presentations for senior management and audit committees.
  • Guide audit teams on data extraction and sharing processes.
  • Ensure D&A documentation complies with requirements and is well-maintained.
  • Manage budgets, monitor finances, and ensure timely delivery within scope.
  • Support leadership in department initiatives.

Other responsibilities include team leadership, technical and risk management, project oversight, stakeholder engagement, and performance management. Significant time may be spent at client sites or KPMG offices.

Role dimensions:

Technical core competencies include understanding technical accounting standards, leveraging audit tools and technology, applying professional skepticism, and risk assessment.
