The role:
Our client, a leading global manufacturer renowned for developing and delivering high-quality products and solutions, is seeking a Senior IT Technician to join their team.

Main Duties of the Senior IT Technician:

Provide 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
Monitor system health to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of IT services.
Contribute to IT initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
Uphold data security standards and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide mentorship and technical support to junior technicians and the broader IT support team.
Administer and troubleshoot backup systems to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.The ideal Senior IT Technician will have the following:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
Background in IT support or systems administration.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA, ITIL Foundation) would be helpful.
Experience in the manufacturing industry and with SAP ERP is advantageous
Technical Skills required:

Operating Systems: Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Windows 10/11
Server Applications: SQL Server
Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls, routing and switching
Virtualization & Clustering: Microsoft Hyper-V
Directory Services: Active Directory, Group Policy
Email & Collaboration: Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, Teams
Security Tools: Endpoint protection, MFA
Backup & Recovery: Veeam, Backup Exec, Windows Backup, cloud-based backup solutions
Scripting & Automation: PowerShell
ITSM Tools: ServiceNow
Hardware: Servers, desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, VoIP systems, CCTV
