We’re Beauty Pie. We’re the world’s first luxury beauty and wellness buyers’ club. And we’re disrupting the beauty industry, one face cream at a time.

Before we arrived on the scene, if you wanted really great beauty products, you had to shop at traditional beauty retail - and overpay for all the crazy markups. Now, our members have access to shop from the best-quality beauty and wellness products (from the leading labs in France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Japan, Korea, etc) and get a bigger piece of the Beauty Pie.

So, what will you be doing?

  • A key role in month end management accounts, focussing on complex areas of the financial statements such as revenue recognition, obsolete stock provision, transfer pricing, share based payments, equity reporting and new areas the business expands into.
  • Leading on UK and US tax reporting and filing obligations, including corporation tax, R&D tax credits, VAT, US sales tax, franchise tax and sales tax. Ensuring timely submission and recognition, and proactively identifying new requirements.
  • Leading the relationships with our UK and US tax advisors, and US sales tax software, Avalara.
  • Partner closely with our Netsuite team to ensure our financial data is robust, identifying errors and system issues, mitigating any risks that would prevent the delivery of accurate financial information.
  • Approving Netsuite transactions from the wider business such as Purchase Orders, invoices, new SKUS, stock adjustments and tax codes and ensuring they are in line with external reporting requirements.
  • Managing the Blackline 3-way transactional reconciliation system to ensure eCommerce, Netsuite and our merchant providers record the same values.
    • Add or amend matching rules as necessary.
    • Manually reconcile transactions as required.
    • Own the relationship with Blackline.
  • Maintaining Beauty Pie’s accounting policy manual.
  • A key role in the audit, overseeing the final submission of the annual Financial Statements and responsible for complex technical accounting areas.
  • Working with the Data Engineering team to ensure systems are aligned, and that engineering builds are compatible with finance reporting and outputs.
  • Own the relationship for our automated payment system (Accesspay) and assistance in overseeing the payment run.
  • Support the expansion of our financial reporting, creating advanced solutions using automation via excel, solution 7, NetSuite and lightdash.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure financial integrity and mitigate risks.
  • Directly manage two finance team members, with potential for growth as the team expands, and act as a mentor to support, mentoring and develop the more junior members of the Finance team.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests.

We believe it's all about mindset, great skills, the right attitude and a fantastic work ethic. If you’re aligned to our values, excited about the opportunity, and you’re really good at what you do (even if you don’t tick all the boxes) apply anyway!

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (including macros).
  • Inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to think laterally in order to problem solve.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable having conversations with colleagues at all levels in the business.
  • Comfortable working with large quantities of raw transactional data.
  • Experience using NetSuite helpful, but not required.
  • Energy and ambition to make a difference to a business going through an exciting period of change and growth.
  • Experience in an e-commerce business is beneficial but not essential.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, agile, scale-up environment.

Negotiating Your Data Science Job Offer: Equity, Bonuses & Perks Explained

Data science has rapidly evolved from a niche specialty to a cornerstone of strategic decision-making in virtually every industry—from finance and healthcare to retail, entertainment, and AI research. As a mid‑senior data scientist, you’re not just running predictive models or generating dashboards; you’re shaping business strategy, product innovation, and customer experiences. This level of influence is why employers are increasingly offering compensation packages that go beyond a baseline salary. Yet, many professionals still tend to focus almost exclusively on base pay when negotiating a new role. This can be a costly oversight. Companies vying for data science talent—especially in the UK, where demand often outstrips supply—routinely offer equity, bonuses, flexible work options, and professional development funds in addition to salary. Recognising these opportunities and effectively negotiating them can have a substantial impact on your total earnings and long-term career satisfaction. This guide explores every facet of negotiating a data science job offer—from understanding equity structures and bonus schemes to weighing crucial perks like remote work and ongoing skill development. By the end, you’ll be well-equipped to secure a holistic package aligned with your market value, your life goals, and the tremendous impact you bring to any organisation.
