Astute's Renewables team is collaborating with a leading infrastructure provider in the electrical distribution sector, specializing in turnkey solutions for private networks, O&M contracts, and DNO/IDNO connection works. We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to drive tendering activities across the UK, with a key focus on supporting sales strategy and building long-term client relationships.

The Senior Electrical Estimator role offers a competitive salary of up to £65,000 plus benefits, with hybrid working options available.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Estimating Manager you will:

Prepare and submit detailed quotations and tenders for a range of projects, including private networks and new connections.
Oversee key client accounts, managing inquiries and facilitating high-level client reviews.
Cultivate partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers to support comprehensive turnkey solutions.
Conduct site assessments and evaluate supplier and subcontractor returns to ensure full compliance with tender specifications.
Perform accurate take-offs from technical drawings and schedules.
Utilize estimation software to maintain data integrity and support efficient project workflows.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

A qualification in Engineering or relevant experience in the electrical distribution field.
A background in estimation with a focus on HV and LV electrical distribution projects.
Experience working with DNOs/IDNOs and delivering successful tenders.
A full UK driving license (maximum 3 points).
