Our client are seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to join their dynamic team in Central London. As a key member of a reputable Tier 1 main contractor, you will oversee and manage the flow of documentation for major construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely availability of records to support project success. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of document control processes in construction, and proficiency in digital document management systems.

Key Responsibilites

  • Oversee and maintain accurate and efficient document control processes, ensuring all project documents are up-to-date, accessible, and comply with company and project-specific standards.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to streamline document workflows and resolve any document control issues or bottlenecks.

  • Administer document control systems, ensuring data integrity, version control, and compliance with relevant standards.

  • Ensure all project documentation meets regulatory, contractual, and internal quality standards, performing regular audits to maintain high accuracy.

  • Mentor and guide junior document controllers, providing training on document control systems, standards, and best practices.

  • Generate periodic reports on document status, outstanding actions, and ensure timely distribution to relevant project stakeholders.

  • Support the company’s digital transformation goals by optimizing electronic document control processes and promoting the use of digital tools.

    Qualification:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in document control, ideally within the construction, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.

  • Strong proficiency in document management software (e.g., Aconex)

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong quality control capabilities.
