The Senior Director of Dun & Bradstreet's WWN Data Governance team is responsible for the strategic execution and delivery of Dun & Bradstreet's data strategy across our partner network. This role has accountability for all aspects of data management & governance including design, mapping, development, validation, calibration, documentation, approval, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

The Data Governance Team conduct ongoing market assessment and research to ensure Dun & Bradstreet maintains a leading market position in all covered geographies, leveraging findings to inform future investment strategies and new solution capabilities to support commercial growth initiatives.

Essential Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the WWN data governance function to deliver operational excellence through the implementation of D&B's established data standards, practices, methodologies, and tools.
  2. Drive compliance programs to maintain adherence with data quality framework and standards including adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data; identify continuous improvement opportunities through automation and simplification.
  3. Champion the use of new tools and techniques to realize emerging data opportunities and leverage the latest data ontology thinking and techniques to access new data assets.
  4. Develop and lead a team of analysts/data specialists who are the go-to experts on all aspects of governance, insights and control.
  5. Explore advanced big data strategies in emerging areas such as machine learning and artificial intelligence to streamline business processes and working practices.
  6. Engage WWN partners, clients and D&B colleagues to identify business needs leading to the establishment of business cases and implementation of new data & governance capabilities to maintain or achieve a leading market position across all covered geographies.
  7. Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support governance initiatives and products, building and testing Proof of Concept that meet business needs.
  8. Additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and/or Certifications:

  1. 15+ years of experience in a senior data-related role.
  2. Hold a bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, data management or other relevant discipline.
  3. Experience in Data Governance with 10+ years leading a technical and/or data team.
  4. International experience: proven track record of working in diverse global markets.
  5. Expertise working within a Partnerships or Joint Venture environment.
  6. Ability to attract new talent and build effective teams.
  7. Excellent communication, collaborative and relationship building skills.
  8. Have a transformation mindset, have a track record of successfully navigating and collaborating within complex matrixed organizations, and having discussions with key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  10. Show an ownership mindset in everything you do. Be a problem solver, be curious and be inspired to take action. Be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people and teams in support of driving success.
  11. Continuous growth mindset, keep learning through social experiences and relationships with stakeholders, experts, colleagues, and mentors as well as widen and broaden your competencies through structural courses and programs.
