Are you passionate about data and eager to make a real impact? Royal London is looking for talented Senior Data Visualisation Engineer to join our team of data experts. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team that is redefining how we use data to deliver better outcomes for more people.
As a Senior Data Visualisation Engineer, you will take an active role in creating reports, dashboards, and data visualisations to help answer key business questions, solve business problems, and support decision making at all levels of the organisation.
About the role

  • Actively contribute to data visualisation projects for the team, ensuring adherence to data visualisation standards while managing the delivery of multiple projects.
  • Participate in the delivery of analytics and data visualisation initiatives.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, data visualisations and other analytics solutions
  • Define data requirements, and identify, create, and build appropriate data assets to support analysis
  • Communicate findings and results of these initiatives back to internal stakeholders to influence decision making
  • Define, promote, and ensure that robust data visualisation practices are adhered to by the team
  • Coach and mentor more junior team members
    About you
  • Power BI - end-to-end Power BI development experience
  • Power Query - experience for data transformation
  • DAX - experience writing advanced DAX measures
  • Familiarity with tools such as Tabular Editor, Dax Studio
  • SQL - ability to effectively query SQL databases
  • Any exposure to Databricks would be beneficial
  • Understanding of relational databases and Kimball approach to data warehousing
  • Designing, building and maintaining best practise semantic models
  • Microsoft Certification such as PL-300 and DP-600 beneficial but not essential
  • Familiarity with version control and the software development lifecycle would be beneficial
  • Experience of applying data visualisation techniques to solve real-world business problems
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts and results to people with a wide ranging of backgrounds and experiences
  • A proven track record in working on cross-functional projects to a successful conclusion
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching more junior team members
