Reporting to the Head of Engineering for Data, you’ll mentor and inspire fellow data scientists, sharing your expertise to elevate the whole team. What you’ll be doing:
- Making technical decisions that ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability of all data science solutions.
- Leading architectural design , technology selection, and approving methodologies and technical standards.
- Guiding and supporting data scientists through complex technical challenges and reviewing their approaches.
- Balancing trade-offs between innovation, delivery speed, and technical robustness in decision-making.
- Influencing the technical direction of projects, developing team capabilities, and ensuring long-term sustainability of solutions


What we’d like you to bring:
- Deep expertise in the data science lifecycle , machine learning methodologies, and production deployment, with 5-7+ years of hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of cross-functional collaboration , working effectively with product, engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
- Expert proficiency in Python, advanced machine learning, statistical modeling, software engineering best practices, and SQL with experience in large-scale systems like Snowflake.
- Strategic problem-solving and technical architecture skills to design scalable, maintainable solutions while setting technical direction and standards.
- Proven leadership through technical guidance , mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing, driving team capability without direct line management responsibilities.
