Mission

At TILT, we’re pioneering the future of fashion marketplaces. Significant innovations in the past led to faster payments and fulfilment, from which the incumbents emerged. But there hasn't been anything further game-changing in the space — and now all online marketplaces suffer from the same dull buying and selling experiences.

We're changing that by creating a fast, fun, interactive way to shop through live streams.

Culture

  • Seriously fast-paced and challenging.

  • Experimental and obsessed with one objective: to build a groundbreaking shopping experience for the world.

  • Extremely ambitious, friendly and want to win together.

  • You will be proud of your work for years to come.

About the Role

You will join the founding data team, which consists of two machine learning engineers and one data scientist. Everyone on the team will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the product team to build solutions.

Data Scientists at TILT are responsible for deep analytics on our product. You must enjoy digging into the details and communicating unique insights to the broader team. There will be no machine learning tasks in this role.

Data Scientists at TILT are expected to own the analytics pipeline, end-to-end, which means there will be an element of data engineering or analytics engineering, as well as data science.

What You'll Do

  • Dive deep into our data to establish core metrics and KPIs

  • Lay the foundations for a clean, standardized and scaleable analytics platform

  • Own our analytics stack, create internal taxonomies and educate others to find their own insights

  • Work very closely with the product and operations teams

  • Communicate technical challenges to technical and non-technical team members

You will help us get from 0 -> 1.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working in a seriously fast-paced start-up (prefer early stage)

  • No ego, open to being challenged, and ability to bring fresh perspectives

  • Expertise in building analytics platforms and a data culture

  • Outstanding ability to communicate technical problems

  • The hunger to build something remarkable

Perks & Benefits

  • Stock options - we share in our growth

  • MacBook Pro, display & accessories

  • Competitive salary

Want to join?

Apply with your CV and answer the following two questions (authentic answers only; generic responses will be rejected):
