Senior Research Scientist - Data Science & Machine Learning

Chelmsford (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)

A globally respected research and technology organisation is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join its advanced data and decision science capability. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and statistical signal processing-delivering real impact across domains including national defence, space, and critical infrastructure.

As part of a multi-disciplinary innovation team, you'll contribute to the design of next-generation inference algorithms, apply AI/ML to time-series and sensor data, and help shape future technologies in areas such as distributed sensing, autonomy, radar, and RF systems. You'll also have opportunities to collaborate with academic institutions and lead the development of internal IP and demonstrators.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading AI/ML research projects from concept to prototype
  • Developing algorithms for sequential data and decision support
