Trips is looking for a Senior Manager of Analytics & Data Science Insights to lead a team of data scientists and analysts to help continue data driven decision making in the domain. This role will be responsible for the oversight of the quality of analysis, insights and experimentation for this domain. This Role will also sit on the Trips Data & DSnA leadership team and report to the Director of Data

As a manager of managers you will develop a broad data science strategy for your teams, across a data product portfolio with high technical and organisational complexity. You are accountable for the craft excellence in your teams' delivery, aligned with company-wide DS&A requirements. You create outsized business impact through craft-based synergies among your various teams. You are a champion of your team members' personal development and career growth.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Translate and communicate the vision of leadership to team members and build the Data Science and Analytics roadmaps for teams in your scope

  • Manage the managers of a team of data scientists and a team of analysts

  • Manage stakeholders in both product and technology teams

  • Facilitate the prioritization of the workload of the teams and ensure high quality of output

  • Drive implementation and deployment of complex projects across Trips Data, with a particular focus on BTL

  • Align with centralised data science, Analytics and data quality efforts acrossBooking.com

  • Champion and deliver compliance within your remit working closely with Trips Data Governance

  • Align with data infrastructure teams and analytics leaders across other business units to share knowledge and collaborate

  • Coordinate metrics alignment within and beyond Trips, including Trips level aggregation and insights

  • Ensure high quality experiments are being run, and strive for continuous rigor in experimentation

  • Play an active role in the overall Data Leadership team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as manager, plus experience managing managers and managing complex teams in a multidimensional environment

  • Driven and results oriented personality

  • Open to feedback and always looking for ways to improve own performance

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proven track record of applying analytics and data science skills to solving complex business problems

  • Think strategically to identify areas where data science and analytics can make a significant impact on the business

  • Able to understand details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.

  • Able to spot opportunities to drive business growth from their craft.

  • Analytical and curious mindset

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Expertise and experience on data analysis.

  • Expertise in data management, data visualization and quality.

  • Strong communication skills to work with senior business leaders

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with customer and partner teams

  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to hire, manage, and develop a team

  • Has a proven track record of leading analytical and data science organizations in large businesses

  • Is a servant leader, an experienced mentor and passionate about people

  • Has experience measuring, managing and driving behavioural change through the use of data and analytics in order to support stronger decision making

  • Has a strong working knowledge of end to end data lifecycles and strategy

  • Works well with Senior Stakeholders to understand what the business is trying to achieve and use data metrics and insights to accelerate, shape and measure
